I Love the Knight Life
“Half time,” called out Mrs Thomson.
All Room 4 piled up at the Room 4 door to change into their stylish costumes.The girls opened their white New World plastic bags. They unfolded the bright yellow t-shirts, the black tights like dark as night and red shiny skirts.
Last week, we had our production. It was called I Love Knight Life.

Suddenly it started again. All the Room 4 girls were at the backdrops and the boys were at the back of the hall. The red curtains opened then Stevannah, the narrator said, “Will Arthur escape from these guards?”
The red heavy curtains slowly opened to reveal the girls at the backdrops silently. Morgan Le Fay was telling the guards to watch the king in prison. She left in frustration. The Room 4 rugby team came up in the aisle to practise for the big important match to vs the All Blacks. They showed the King their practice.
Mystery Creek
"Ah," everyone screamed and giggled, too.
On Tuesday, Room 4 went to Mystery Creek. There were 10 gates to go to. We went into Gate 3. We met a man sitting on a chair. He said, "Hello, Room 4. My name is Allan or you can call me Mr Raily. I will be your introducer of the olden days. There are a hospital, a jail, a school, a church, a gas station, a barn, a dairy factory, a garage and a tractor keeper."
Room 4 walked to a barn. There were ipads, sheets and pens. He told us, "You need a sheet, a pen and an ipad, and get into a group, please. When you have done that, you can go."
We had to have in the groups an adult or a teacher. My group was Olivia, Olivia's mum, Kruz and Paige.
We went to the school 3x then the church and the washing place and the hospital twice and the gas station and the tractor keeper and the dairy 2x and back to the barn.

Alison Shanks
Stomp, stomp, stomp. All the noisy shoes came into the hall.
Today, Alison Shanks came because we invited her so she could teach our learning brain and our marvellous minds.
She told us about the countdown. She was nervous so she practised in her apartment.
She had five helpers. Their names were Taj, Theo, Gorgia, Jaxon and Jacinta. Mr Emms chose them. She talked about her helmet .
Jacinta wore her cycling clothes. It looked small but it was stretchy. There was a video of her cycling. She said, "Pretend this is Jacinta cycling and she can wear my helmet. Cheer her on. The others can hold up the flags. These two boys can hold the Olympic flag and the other two can hold the New Zealand flag."
We all cheered Jacinta. After the noisy cheer, she talked about her fast and shiny cycling bike.
After the race, Jacinta won a gold medal. Alison talked to Jacinta, "You can pass it to your classmates."
So Rooms 1 - Room 6 got to see the shiny gold medal. My classmates in Room 4 had a photo and some of Room 4's books got signed.

The Movies
One sunny Thursday Nia and I were at my aunty Heidi’s house my dad called and said “I’m coming to pick up Nia and Sabriye tomorrow, oh can we take Tayla because we are going to the movies.” My auntie said “Ok.”
Dad came on Friday and picked us up. Havana,Brylie,Porter and Waylon were already in the van patiently waiting to go to the movies. .
We walked to the counter and my dad handed the tickets to the lady. She said “Do your kids want a free toy each.”
Dad said “Ok.”
She handed the soft toys to us. When we walked past the popcorn, I smelt the delicious popcorn popping and I saw the popcorn popping. We walked through the door which said “number six.” The theatre was dark, there were lots of seats and people, parents and their children were waiting for the movie to start.
We were watching Ice Age 5. Havana, Nia, Porter, Brylie, dad, Waylon, Tayla and I liked it but Waylon loved the movie some parts made him laugh . Sometimes Waylon was playing around with the soft toy then it was finished. We waited for Havana because she walked into a shop and Dad got hungry and we had Dominoes for dinner. We drove home and went to bed.
